HYROX & Hybrid

A Podium Sweep in Hamburg and The Fuel That Got Them There

Three Feed Athletes punched their tickets to the HYROX World Championships after a podium sweep in the opening round at Hamburg. If you're wondering how elite HYROX athletes fuel a performance like that, we've got you covered.

Three of our HPT Athletes, Joanna Wietrzyk, Lauren Weeks and Vivian Tafuto, swept the women’s Elite 15 podium at HYROX Hamburg, the opening round of the 2026/27 Elite Series, finishing in 56:10, 56:24 and 57:55 in Friday’s singles race. All three earned spots at the HYROX World Championships.

Lauren and Vivian went back out the next day for the Elite 15 Doubles and won it in 52:49, which adds a second Worlds qualifying result to their weekend.

In case you're new to the HYROX thing, a race at the Elite 15 level takes about an hour and has eight one-kilometer runs, with a station after each one that covers the SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls. Holding a fast run pace throughout that much power-based work requires an insane work capacity. And an insane work capacity requires a lot of fuel.

Here's what the best in the world always have in their carts.

Joanna Wietrzyk

Joanna took 2:12 off her winning time from last year, and her order shows how she manages the training that produces a result like that. There is carbohydrate for the hard sessions, protein and collagen for recovery, and a couple of daily staples.

Lauren Weeks

Lauren was a close second and came back for Saturday’s doubles with Vivian, so she had two hard efforts to prepare for in the same weekend. Her order is high-performance focused, plus the daily products that keep a heavy training load going.

Vivian Tafuto

Vivian raced both days, finishing third in Friday’s singles and winning Saturday’s doubles, and her order covers gels for training and a full recovery routine. The gels come in big boxes, which tells us she goes through them every week and not only on race weekends.

The thing that ties them all together is consistency. You won't find any of these ladies ordering this a week before an event — it's months of fueling with intention and practice that gets you to the top.
