The Sunday Spin: November is Weird.

For those of us who live in the land of all four seasons (that might exclude the lucky people in places like San Diego), November is weird. One day it'll be warm and sunny, the next you wake up and there's snow on the ground. It'll look cold, but be hot. Or be warm and have gusty winds so strong, it feels freezing. It also marks the time of ski season, the off-season, base miles season, marathon season, the lazy season, cold & flu season and the holiday season. Which is why you probably should invest in the Gobble Box (it has everything you need to healthily celebrate a sporty holiday season).

ARE YOU CLOSED FOR BUSINESS?

What should you do when you're feeling less than 100%? Should you shut it down? Or push yourself? First and most importantly you need to stay on top of hydration. You need more fluids when you're sick, so drop that Gu Brew tablet into a bottle, and sip on it like it's going out of style. Next, decide whether the rush you get from working out will invigorate your body, or if you'd be better off melting into your couch and resting. Read these tips and decide what's good for you. Are you closed for business?

IS THIS YOUR FIRST SKI SEASON?

If this is your first ski season, start establishing good habits now. If this is your umpteenth ski season it's never too to get a little better at nutrition. While we are definitely suckers for some fries and chili in the lodge, there are some great foods you can keep with you all day, so you can maximize your time on the lift and your time on the mountain.  Brooks recaps his recent ski nutrition endeavors and tips, here. WE'RE BOBO FOR BOBO'S!

At The Feed, we take suggestions seriously. Recently we received some pleads for Bobo's Oat Bars. So now we're stocked and obsessed with them. Bobo's come either wheat free or gluten free. The flavor profiles are very light, and don't overwhelm your tastebuds. They're super nutrient dense, and taste like they're fresh from your own oven.Bobo's Oat Bars
