Feed Hack: Sleeping Better

image

By Matt Johnson

Founder of The Feed.

I started using Natural Calm about 3 months ago when Anna (a Feed Coach) recommended it.

Before bed, I add two tea spoons into a mug with warm water before bed each night.  It has been amazing way to relax before bed, it also tastes great (I like Cherry and Lemon the best).

What Calm does is add more magnesium to your diet. Most of us don’t get enough magnesium and especially if you are training hard. When your are under “stress” calcium has a tendency to increase in your cells.

When you have increased Calcium in your nerve cells become excited and muscles tense. This can also lead to feeling fatigued, low-energy, inability to sleep, muscle spasms and cramps, headaches, and constipation.

Calm is a simple natural way to increase your magnisium levels which balances out your calcium and combats all of these symptoms. For me the biggest benefits were reducing leg cramps and being more, uh, “regular” the next day which makes me feel lighter and less bloated for my workout.

I’m not one to push all sorts of supplements, but Calm has become quickly something I can’t live without. I travel with it everywhere, and even get a little stressed if I find myself without it before bed :-).  Even my wife has taken to using it!

You should give it a try, you should know right away if it works for you.  I recommend you try it for 3 nights in a row before bedtime.

One quick tip:  I mix it in a coffee mug with hot water.  It really fizzes up. Just put a bit of water in a first…let it fizz and then add more water.

Try it for yourself and let me know what you think.
