How to Recover from Injury with Peptides.

Injuries are an unfortunate but inevitable part of a life in sport. If and when they happen, we can drastically improve the recovery time and quality with Peptides.

One of the most frustrating parts of being an athlete is the recovery from muscle, tendon, or ligament injuries. It always takes longer than you expect and is a saga of improvements and setbacks over and over again that can drive any athlete crazy.

The world of "peptides" is at the forefront of athletic injury repair, and in our discussions with numerous Doctors in the field and athletes, the results border on miraculous. Athletes using peptides are cutting injury recovery in half (or better), and in the case of more significant tears are avoiding surgery altogether.

Today I'm going to talk about two "peptides" that are specifically focused on recovery from athletic injuries, including a new product we offering today from a renowned orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Seeds, called Body Protective Complex+.

    1. 👨‍⚕️ Dr. Seeds Body Protective Complex + (UPDATE: no longer offered/available)

Dr. Seeds is an orthopedic surgeon that is at the forefront of using peptides. He is also the founder of the International Peptide Society. Dr. Seeds' goal is to make the healing benefits of Peptides available to a wide audience, and as a result, he created Body Protective Complex+. Some of the key benefits of BPC+ are:

    Increases Collagen Synthesis

Repairs Connective Tissue For Both Tendons And Ligaments

    Decreases Inflammation

    A quick background on Peptides

Peptides are a chain of amino acids (2 to 50 amino acids chained together) and are naturally occurring in our bodies. We have thousands of different peptides in our body. Peptides are the signaling agent that tells our body to do things, such as repair tendon tissue or fight inflammation.

There are two peptides (BPC-157 and TB500) that are showing incredible improvements in soft tissue recovery. That said, these are products that you need to get from a Doctor that is familiar with the use of peptides and regenerative medicine. Both are considered research drugs and delivered by a small injection.

Dr. Seeds' BPC+ contains the protein from which the BPC peptide is extracted, While this is not directly the same thing as BPC-157, the results that come from Dr. Seeds formulation are extremely similar to BPC-157. It is our understanding from Dr. Seeds' team that BPC+ has one or more additional amino acids added to the chain that also help with its ability to be absorbed orally.

Take 2 BPC+ Capsules with breakfast every day for 30 days.

    2. 💪 Collagen Peptides for Muscle Repair

There are a series of new studies that are all concluding that supplementing Collagen is helpful in both repairing injuries and helping prevent soft tissue injuries.

We are now recommending to all athletes that have a risk of soft-tissue injury to strongly consider a routine of collagen supplementation. In speaking with our chief medical advisor, Dr. Kevin Sprouse, he recommends Collagen Supplementation to almost all of his athletes.

To avoid any confusion, Collagen Peptides are still chains of amino acids, but they are extracted from animal sources and not sequenced in a lab, like BPC-157 or TB500, so they are widely available and can be taken orally.

Our research shows that you should be on a daily Collagen Peptide routine for at least four weeks before you should expect to see benefits, although many customers have said they feel benefits much sooner.

💁‍♂️TIP: Take a Vitamin C along with your Collagen to help activate it. Quicksilver Liposomal Vitamin C is a fantastic source and also helps with immune support. We also carry VitalFit's Vitamin C.

We have 3 Top Collagen Peptides Available:

👉 Dr. Sprouse Favorite: Great Lakes Gelatin Collagen Hydrolysate

👉 Vital Proteins: Cartilage Collagen specifically focused on tendon and cartilage.

👉 HVMN Keto Collagen+ as an all-around Collagen Source (also the best tasting)

    3. 🦵 Muscle Scraping (aka Graston Technique) for Soft Tissue Repair

The final method used by many of us at The Feed for beating chronic soft tissue issues is to use the body's own repair systems to restart the healing process. That is the central concept behind "muscle scraping."

My personal experience with hamstring tendonitis is that after years of chronic pain that would limit my ability to ride or run, in only four treatments of muscle scraping, I was 100% healed. Of course, your results may vary, but I'm a big believer in repairing old injuries where your body has stopped the healing process.

I relate this to the use of peptides in that peptides are signaling agents to tell your body to repair. Muscle scraping is a different approach, but similar in that you are re-injuring the area to signal your body to initiate a reparative response.

While you can see a chiropractor or other trained professional, muscle scraping is quite easy to do on yourself. Just remember that it can be painful, and I hate to say it, but light to moderate pain is sort of what you are going want to kick start the healing process.

    How do you do it?

I've had to do it with a butter knife when I was in a pinch, but fortunately, we now have the Wave Tool and the Leopard Claw as two of the best muscle scraping devices on the market. They are much safer and more effective than a butter knife!

With these tools, you scrape with medium to heavy pressure over the injured area. Check out The Wave Tool page for some great how-to videos.

I like The Wave Tool for smaller areas around curves, like my knee. I use the Leopard Claw for larger muscle groups like quads, hamstring, calves and low back, it is expensive, but will pay for itself in not having to go to a professional for treatment.

Recently, I have also been using AMP Human Lotion has a fantastic lubricant.
