Who makes Ketones?

What’s the difference between Ketone salts and Ketone esters?

The difference is in the chemistry. Ketone esters are ketones fused to an alcohol molecule. Ketone salts are ketones fused to a salt molecule...

ketone salts are not recommended by most experts. We don’t carry them at The Feed with the exception of KE4 as it is an ester/salt blend and the salt content remains acceptable.

The reason that salts are no good is that the amount of salt you have to ingest to get a beneficial effect of ketones is alot. Enough to give your cardiologist a heart attack at five or six times the daily recommended salt limits.

What’s the difference between MCT (medium chain triglycerides) oil and exogenous ketones?

MCT oil is not ketones. It’s more like a precursor to ketones and can help your body go into ketosis faster, BUT they will not induce a state of ketosis on their own. They are great to use for fasted workouts and carb-restriction to jumpstart ketosis but they need to be taken away from carbs or their effects will be… nada.
