Product Description
L-Theanine is a unique amino acid primarily found in tea leaves (Camellia sinensis) and has been used safely for decades. It's best known for promoting a calm yet alert state of mind by positively influencing brain waves and key neurotransmitters involved in mood, focus, and relaxation.
Benefits of Theanine:
-
Boosts Dopamine & Serotonin: Supports the production of neurotransmitters that regulate mood and focus.
-
Supports GABA Formation: Plays a role in the creation of GABA, a neurotransmitter that acts as a “brake,” helping to reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.
-
Enhances Alpha-Wave Activity: Increases alpha-wave activity in the brain, promoting a relaxed, yet focused, state of mind.
A Japanese study on university students found that 200 mg of L-Theanine increased alpha-wave activity and induced a sense of relaxation without causing drowsiness, with effects beginning about 40 minutes after ingestion.*
How to Use Thorne Theanine:
L-Theanine is ideal for managing stress, improving focus, and maintaining mental balance, making it a go-to supplement for high-stress situations or enhancing focus during demanding tasks.
