Product Description

The original GO Energy Gels by Science in Sport – but with a kick.

In case you don’t know, the GO was key in changing the game. They effectively deliver an easily digestible and quick supply of carbohydrate.

The SiS Caffeine Gel is based on the same formula as the innovative SiS GO Isotonic Energy Gel BUT with the addition of 75mg (or 150mg!) of caffeine. Fast energy with a mental and physical boost.

Unlike the lingering caffeine taste from most products, the GO Energy + Caffeine is clean in the mouth and easy to digest.

The SiS Difference:

What does isotonic mean? They are essentially equal in osmotic pressure and less likely to lead to stomach distress.

We know taking in carbohydrates with diligence can prevent bonking and improve endurance...but sometimes the high sugar content of gels can cause stomach issues. That's where the isotonic formula comes into play.

These gels don’t require you to drink water with them, making them a great option if you tend to experience that full, sloshy feeling from drinking too much water with your gels OR struggle with thick, syrupy gels. They also contain three different electrolytes to aid in proper fuel + fluid absorption.

The Caffeine Benefit:

Caffeine acts centrally on the brain to lower the perception of effort, which is particularly noticeable in longer events. In hard training and events over 90 minutes, mental fatigue plays a big role as things progress, in addition to physical.

How to Use SiS Caffeine Gels:

These energy gels are portable and easy to take with you on long training rides, interval days, and races – especially since they don’t require tons of water to be taken with them. We recommend having one gel every 20-30 minutes during rides, runs, or events that are over 90 minutes – but space them out with other gels/fuel to spread the caffeine out.

SiS GO Energy + Caffeine Gels FAQ's

Everything you need to know about SiS GO Energy + Caffeine Gels.

The Feed Expert #1The Feed Expert #2The Feed Expert #3

The GO Energy + Caffeine gels come in two strengths: 75mg or 150mg of caffeine per gel. That lets you match the dose to the moment, a lighter lift early in a long effort or a bigger hit when you need it most, so choose the strength based on your caffeine tolerance and how hard the session is.

Take one every 20 to 30 minutes during efforts over 90 minutes, but deliberately space them out with your non-caffeine gels or other fuel so your caffeine intake is spread across the effort rather than front-loaded. Timing a dose for the back half of a long event is where the mental lift pays off most.

No, and that's a key advantage. The isotonic formula is already at a concentration your body absorbs easily, so you avoid the full, sloshy feeling that comes from chugging water with thick, syrupy gels. That makes them easy to take mid-effort when water isn't handy.

Caffeine acts on your brain to lower your perception of effort, which becomes especially noticeable deep into long events. In hard sessions over 90 minutes, mental fatigue builds alongside physical fatigue, and the caffeine helps blunt that so a given pace feels more manageable.

They're built for endurance efforts over 90 minutes, so for short easy sessions they're usually more caffeine and fuel than you need. Save them for interval days, long rides and runs, and races where both the carbohydrate and the caffeine boost will actually work for you.
