Product Description
You've always had to pick a side. Seal your ears for better sound, and miss those key cues while training on the open road. Or go open-ear for safety and live with audio that sounds like it's coming from miles away. That's been the open-ear trade-off since day one.
The Shokz OpenFit Pro is the first open-ear earbud in the entire Shokz lineup to offer noise reduction — without ever sealing your ears.
What Makes It Different
The Only Open-Ear Earbud with Noise Reduction – The OpenFit Pro is for everyone. A triple-microphone array with an ear-adaptive algorithm continuously maps the ambient noise around you and neutralizes it — gym hum, café chatter, wind — while keeping you aware of the sounds that actually matter. One button switches between full-awareness and noise-reduction mode. You decide, in the moment, on the road.
Sound That Finally Matches Your Expectations – The OpenFit Pro offers SuperBoost, a single synchronized dual-diaphragm driver that expands frequency response up to 40kHz and delivers 50% more bass than previous gens. Add Dolby Atmos with head tracking and a 10-band custom EQ, and you've got open-ear audio that sounds amazing.
A Fit That Actually Stays During Hard Efforts – The Pro has redesigned contact points that project directly into the ear's inner cavity for better grip, plus flexible ultra-thin nickel-titanium ear hooks that adapt to your ear shape and stay locked through intervals, climbs, and descents. Optional support accessories give you one more layer of security if you need it.
Water Resistant – The OpenFit Pro is rated IP55 — protected against sweat, rain, and splashing water. They are not designed for underwater use or swimming. For swimming, see the Shokz OpenSwim Pro.
How to Use the Shokz OpenFit Pro
Outdoor Rides and Runs: Keep noise reduction off. You get full environmental awareness plus excellent audio. 12 hours of battery per charge means you're covered for any long effort.
Indoor Training (Trainer, Treadmill, Gym): Flip on noise reduction to cut through equipment hum and ambient noise. Battery drops to 6 hours in this mode.
Pro Tip: A 10-minute charge gets you 2 more hours of playback. Pair to two devices at once via the Shokz app — your cycling computer or running watch and your phone — and switch seamlessly between training data audio and music.
Ultra runners and cyclists who've put the OpenFit Pro through hybrid outdoor/indoor sessions consistently report the same experience: they stop switching gear between segments and just leave the Pro in all day. That's the product working exactly the way it was designed to.

Shokz OpenFit Pro FAQ's
Everything you need to know before getting started.

Yes — and that's exactly what they're designed for. The open-ear design keeps your ears free so you can hear traffic, other riders, and your surroundings while still getting full audio from your music or training app.
Traditional noise cancellation requires a sealed ear canal to block outside sound completely. The OpenFit Pro uses a triple-microphone system to reduce unwanted background noise (gym hum, wind, chatter) without sealing your ears — so you stay aware of important sounds like traffic or teammates while minimizing distractions.
With noise reduction off, you get 12 hours per charge and up to 50 hours total with the charging case. With noise reduction on, that drops to 6 hours per charge (24 hours total with the case). A 10-minute quick charge delivers 2 hours of playback.
The ultra-thin nickel-titanium alloy ear hooks flex to match your unique ear shape and stay locked in through intense movement. They also include an optional support accessory for added stability if you need extra security. The redesigned contact points also grip better than previous OpenFit models.
The OpenFit Pro is the top-of-line model and the only one in the series with Open-Ear Noise Reduction. It also features the new SuperBoost dual-diaphragm driver (delivering 50% more bass), Dolby Atmos with head tracking, a 10-band custom EQ (vs. 5-band), physical buttons on both earbuds, and wear detection that auto-pauses when removed.
The OpenFit Pro carry an IP55 rating, meaning they're protected against sweat, rain, and splashing water — fully workout and outdoor ready. Note: these are not designed for underwater use or swimming.
Yes. The Shokz App is available for both iOS and Android and gives you access to EQ customization, noise reduction adjustment, multipoint device switching, and firmware updates. They pair via Bluetooth 6.1 and support simultaneous connection to two devices.
