Product Description

Years of training exposes your body to oxidative stress. Beta carotene is an important antioxidant that scavenges free radicals, supports the body's defense system and maintains healthy visual acuity. Beta carotene and the carotenoid family it belongs to are concentrated in the retina and studied for supporting eye health over years of exposure as well.

Beta Carotene by Pure Encapsulations is built to support your eyes and antioxidant defenses with a full spectrum of natural carotenoids from algae, not just a single isolated nutrient.

Supports eye health – Lutein and zeaxanthin, two carotenoids in this formula, concentrate in the retina and are studied for supporting visual acuity over time.

A mix of antioxidants – Alongside beta carotene, this formula includes alpha carotene, cryptoxanthin, lutein, and zeaxanthin, a full mix instead of a single isolated nutrient.

Converts to vitamin A when your body needs it – Beta carotene is a vitamin A precursor your body converts on an as-needed basis, unlike preformed vitamin A, which doesn't self-regulate the same way.

Beta carotene works as a dietary antioxidant, neutralizing free radicals that build up from normal metabolism, sun exposure, and physical stress, while supporting immune defenses and visual acuity. The carotenoids here come from Dunaliella salina, an algae naturally rich in the full carotenoid family rather than a single synthetic nutrient, which is why each capsule also provides measurable amounts of alpha carotene, lutein, zeaxanthin, and cryptoxanthin alongside the primary beta carotene dose.

Beta carotene and its carotenoid family concentrate in the retina and are studied for supporting eye health over years of sun exposure and training. Lutein and zeaxanthin specifically are tied to visual acuity over time.

Beyond beta carotene, you get alpha carotene, cryptoxanthin, lutein, and zeaxanthin — a full carotenoid mix rather than one isolated nutrient. These come from Dunaliella salina algae, which naturally carries the full family.

Algae-sourced beta carotene comes with measurable amounts of the other carotenoids built in, so you're not just getting one nutrient. A synthetic version wouldn't carry that same full spectrum.

Yes — beta carotene is a vitamin A precursor your body converts only as needed, unlike preformed vitamin A, which doesn't self-regulate the same way. That makes it a lower-risk way to support vitamin A status.

Take 1 capsule, 1-2 times daily, with meals. Consistency matters more than timing here.
