Product Description
Most running vests are a compromise between breathability and bounce-free function. Nerd Belt spent two years and tested 12 prototypes to prove you shouldn't have to pick.
The NVlite is Nerd Belt's first-ever running vest — and it's built specifically for the 1–3 hour effort where you need just enough, not everything.
No-Bounce Fit That Moves With You – A side and waist elastic tightening system locks the vest to your body so it sticks like a second skin. The front fastening system cinches significantly tighter than most vests on the market, eliminating vertical movement even at race pace.
Breathability That Actually Reduces Heat – A single ultra-thin, stretchy mesh layer on the back keeps airflow moving across your skin. Most vests stack multiple layers that trap heat and accelerate sweat loss. The NVlite takes the opposite approach — one thin layer means better ventilation, a cooler core, and less energy spent on thermoregulation.
Storage Built for the Run – The rear pocket is large enough to carry a spray jacket, 10 gels, and a snack bar simultaneously without bounce. Dual front phone pockets hold any size phone with a tight elastic hem for one-handed access. A small zip pocket up front includes an internal key hook so nothing rattles around mid-run.
Two 500ml soft flasks (safety tested and approved) are included and sit in slightly deeper front pouches than the industry standard — meaning the flasks stay put on downhills and technical terrain. The materials are soft and stretchy, and Nerd Belt has confirmed zero chafe in testing shirtless for 60+ minutes straight.
Two years. Twelve prototypes. One vest that doesn't ask you to compromise.
How to Use the Nerd Belt NVlite
Carry up to 1L across the two included 500ml soft flasks. For runs over 90 minutes in heat, fill both and stash gels or a bar in the rear pocket.
The NVlite's stretchy mesh adapts to your body — if you're on the border of two sizes, go smaller for a locked-in fit with zero vest movement.

Nerd Belt NVlite
Everything you need to know before getting started.

Most vests use multi-layer back panels that trap heat. The NVlite uses a single ultra-thin stretchy mesh layer that maximizes airflow, keeping you cooler and reducing sweat loss on long efforts. Combined with its side and waist elastic tightening system, it delivers a no-bounce fit that most vests simply can't match.
The two front pouches hold the included 500ml soft flasks (1L total fluid). The rear pocket is large enough for a spray jacket, 10 gels, and a snack bar simultaneously. Two front phone pockets fit any size phone, and a small front zip pocket with a key hook rounds out the storage.
Nerd Belt tested the NVlite shirtless on runs over 60 minutes and confirmed zero chafe. The soft stretchy hem on the exterior is specifically designed to be skin-friendly even without a base layer.
The NVlite is built for both. Its no-bounce system handles technical terrain just as well as road — the deeper front flask pouches keep bottles secure on descents, and the vest's locked-in fit means no adjustment stops regardless of the surface.
NVlite is purpose-built for 1–3 hour efforts. It's intentionally lighter and more minimalist than larger vests designed for ultras, prioritizing breathability and a streamlined carry over maximum storage capacity.
