Glutathione Cell Defense from Integrative Therapeutics combines stabilized reduced glutathione, an anthocyanin blend, and L-cysteine in a patented formula to support healthy cell development.
Setria glutathione with human research behind it – The glutathione in each capsule is Setria, a stabilized reduced form. In a six-month, placebo-controlled trial of 54 healthy adults, daily Setria raised glutathione levels in the blood.
Anthocyanins alongside the glutathione – AnthoRedoxin is a blend of anthocyanins, the plant pigments that give berries and cherries their color, and it is exclusive to Integrative Therapeutics. The formula pairs it with the glutathione and L-cysteine to support cellular health.
L-cysteine, a building block of glutathione – L-cysteine is one of the three amino acids your cells use to make their own glutathione. The formula pairs preformed glutathione with a building block for making more.
Glutathione is an antioxidant your cells make themselves, and reduced means the active form that does the antioxidant work. In the trial, adults took 250 or 1,000 mg of Setria a day, and blood glutathione levels rose at both doses before returning to baseline after a one-month washout. Each capsule here provides 400 mg, so one or two capsules a day fall inside the range the trial tested.
