Product Description
You're deep into a long run, heart rate elevated, and you reach for your soft flask — only to fumble with the valve trying to get a decent sip without slowing down. Here's what most athletes don't realize: how you drink on the run is just as important as what you drink.
The Hydrapak Run Flask Straw Adapter is the simplest, cheapest upgrade you can make to your running hydration setup.
No-Tilt, No-Break-Stride Drinking The straw extends down into your flask so fluid comes to you — no tilting, no aggressive squeezing, no wasted seconds. Just bite and sip.
Featherweight at Every Mile Fourteen grams. That's it. This adapter adds virtually nothing to your vest or handheld setup. You'll forget it's there until you realize how much easier drinking has become.
High-Flow Bite Valve That Keeps Up With You The silicone bite valve delivers a strong, consistent flow so you're not working overtime just to stay hydrated at mile 20.
The straw is built from BPA-free and PVC-free materials — TPU, food-grade silicone, and stainless steel — so nothing unwanted is getting into your water or sports drink during long efforts. At 165mm, it reaches the bottom of your flask so you can drain every last drop when it counts.
Setup takes seconds. Remove the valve from your 42mm SpeedFill or Bite Valve Cap, insert the drink tube until secure, and you're ready to roll.
Setup: Remove the valve from your 42mm SpeedFill or Bite Valve Cap and insert the drink tube until it clicks secure.
Drink: Bite the valve and sip — no tilting, no fumbling.
Pro Tip: Rinse the straw after every use with sports drink or gels in your flask — residue buildup inside the tube will restrict flow over time.
Trail runners and ultramarathon athletes swear by this adapter as one of those small-but-essential pieces of kit that quietly improves every long effort.
This isn't just another flask accessory — this is the $8 upgrade that keeps you drinking more and fumbling less.

Hydrapak Flask Straw FAQ's
Everything you need to know before getting started.

It fits Hydrapak's 42mm SpeedFill Cap and 42mm Bite Valve Cap. Note: it does NOT fit Salomon caps, so double-check your flask cap size before ordering.
Simply remove the existing valve from your 42mm cap and insert the drink tube into the cap opening. To remove it, pinch the base of the straw and pull straight out — no tools required.
Rinse the straw with warm water after every use, especially if you've run sports drinks or gels through it. A thin bottle brush works great for a deeper clean and prevents residue buildup that can restrict flow.
Yes. At 165mm (6.5 inches), the straw is designed to reach the bottom of your HydraPak soft flask so you can drain every last drop — useful when you're rationing water late in a race.
The straw inserts securely into the cap and won't rattle loose during normal running movement. The bite valve only opens when you bite and draw, so there's no leaking between sips.
