Product Description

Huma Chia Energy Gel is real food, reformulated for the trail or the start line. Each pouch blends fruit purée, cane sugar, brown rice syrup, and milled chia seed — no maltodextrin, no artificial flavors or colors.

The chia seed powder brings soluble fiber that smooths out carbohydrate absorption, so energy comes in steadier rather than as a sharp spike and crash. Huma's 2:1 glucose-to-fructose ratio (from the brown rice syrup and cane sugar) supports efficient carb uptake during exercise.

Each gel delivers 100 calories and 24g of carbohydrates. Gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and vegan. Available in seven flavors. Four caffeine-free (Strawberries, Apples and Cinnamon, Blueberries, Mangoes) and three with natural caffeine (Raspberries and Lemonade at 25mg, Double Shot Mocha at 100mg).

How to Use Huma Chia Energy Gel

Take one packet about 15 minutes before exercise, then one every 30-45 minutes during sustained effort. Always consume with water. Because Huma's real-food formula behaves a little differently than standard sugar-based gels, test your flavor and timing in training before race day.

Huma Chia Energy Gel FAQ's

Everything you need to know about Huma Chia Energy Gel.

The Feed Expert #1The Feed Expert #2The Feed Expert #3

A real-food energy gel made from fruit purees, cane syrup, and chia seeds. 2:1 glucose-to-fructose ratio for dual-pathway carb absorption, all 9 essential amino acids, and fiber from chia seeds that smooths out the energy curve. Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan.

The fiber in chia seeds slows carb absorption slightly, turning a sharp energy spike into a steadier release. Less boom-and-bust, more sustained output. It's the key difference between Huma and a standard sugary gel — the energy comes in smoother and lasts longer.

Mostly yes, but it means these gels behave slightly differently than pure sugar gels. Because of the added fiber and more complex nutrients, try them in training before race day to dial in how your gut handles them. Don't debut anything new on the start line.

Before and during efforts. Use them the same way you would any gel — every 30-45 minutes during sustained exercise — but give yourself a training block to adapt before relying on them in competition.
