Stays Where You Put It – A deep heel pocket and an arch band hold the sock against your foot the way your shoe holds your foot against the road, so the quarter-height cuff never works its way down during a run.
Breathes Without the Bulk – Balega stripped excess yarn out of the knit and trimmed the exposed threads inside the sock, cutting bulk and friction points while opening up airflow across the top of your foot.

The redesign comes down to how much material Balega uses and where. Seamless construction removes the ridges and toe seams that cause rubbing on long efforts, and the recycled polyester and nylon blend gives the knit enough structure to hold its shape through a training cycle. Medium cushioning sits across the forefoot and heel, thick enough to absorb impact on pavement without adding bulk that changes how your shoe fits.
