

Beth Potter is a British triathlete and long-distance runner known for her achievements in. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Beth grew up with a strong interest in sports, particularly running, which she pursued from a young age. She attended the University of Leeds, where she balanced her academic studies with her athletic career, eventually graduating with a degree in Physics. Beth initially made her mark as a track athlete, specializing in the 10,000 meters. She represented Great Britain at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, competing in the 10,000 meters event. Despite her talent on the track, Beth transitioned to triathlon in 2017, seeking new challenges and opportunities. Her move to triathlon proved successful. In 2021, she set a world record for the fastest 5km road race by a female athlete, clocking an impressive time of 14:41 at the Podium 5k in Barrowford, England. Beth has also achieved notable success on the triathlon circuit, including winning World Triathlon Cup events and competing at the highest levels internationally, including medaling at the 2024 Paris Olympics in both the individual event and the mixed relay event respectively.
