What we think
You’ve probably heard that minimizing screen time an hour prior to bed is beneficial for your sleep patterns. But with all of the technology that is part of our daily lives, sometimes that just isn’t realistic for us. Whether you’re up late working because your morning ride took a little longer than expected, or you just needed to unwind by watching one more episode of your latest show before bed, we’ve all been there. Blue light affects your brain’s ability to recognize that it’s time to produce melatonin, a sleep regulating hormone. Even if you’re not in front of a screen prior to sleeping, there are a number of reasons you might be having a hard time falling asleep, or staying asleep.
Melatonin is naturally produced by the brain, and is responsible for helping us maintain circadian rhythms and sleep cycles (deep sleep vs REM). Supplementing your body’s natural melatonin production can help you achieve quality, restorative sleep no matter what else you have going on in your life. Restful sleep is critical, for everything from repairing tissues after a hard workout to making sure you’ve memorized your notes for that big work presentation tomorrow. It is essential for making gains on the race course and in the office. Not to mention, sleep is when your body reinforces your immune system, so getting more sleep means you’ll get sick less often. If you feel like you’re struggling to get the quality sleep you need, this melatonin is worth a try!
Quicksilver Scientific has developed liposomal delivery systems to ensure their supplements are absorbed efficiently and effectively by the body, protecting them from breakdown and maximizing the bioavailability of each ingredient.
How We Use It
We like to take one pump daily or as needed before bed to help with restful sleep. Hold in your mouth for 30 seconds before swallowing for maximum effectiveness. You can dissolve it in a small amount of water too if that's more manageable for you.
