Puori O3 Fish Oil
What we think
You might be asking yourself what is fish oil and why do I need it? Fish is oil typically sourced from fatty fish such as anchovy, sardines, mackerel, trout, and salmon. Fish oil is and amazing source of two specific long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3) known as EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid). Puori says "These two omega-3 fatty acids provide a wide range of health benefits. Puori O3 Liquid contains fish oil derived only from wild caught anchovies. These fish are the fatty fish lowest in the food chain, meaning low accumulation of toxins. The oil is purified and concentrated to provide a high dose of EPA and DHA and no toxins."
Like all of the Puori products the ingredients and formulations are taken with high standards. Many of which we consider the benchmark for what most companies should do as well. So then begs the question - "Which one should I take?" Puori makes a capsule version however there are some out there that wish to take it the old fashion way. With a spoon. We won't judge just as long as you get your fish oil!
What's nice about the liquid version is that you can mix it in with your smoothies and or some of your cooking. Puori is quick to note that kids (who have trouble taking the capsules (due to size) like the traditional liquid version as it's easier to swallow. The O3 liquid contains 150 ml, which 30 servings whereas the O3 contain 120 capsules, which corresponds to 40 servings.
What is noticeably different about the Puori O3 Liquid is that medium chain triglyceride (MCT) oil is added to stabilize the oil and prevent oxidation. This means that the oil stays fresh and have no fishy taste or odor which we know is why most people despise taking fish oil. You know...that terrible taste you associate with it? Worry not - no bad taste here!
