I'm a cyclist and after crushing a few of my previous PRs, my buddies started asking me what was different... The short answer? Beets! Between Alt-Red and Human N Beet Powder, I've noticed my endurance when putting the hammer down has increased tremendously. I can go harder and longer than before. My real world experience of the reduction in lactic acid buildup is (while anecdotal,) legit. With Alt-Red, I do see why they suggest you take it 1.5 hours before your workout... it literally does take that long to kick in for me. If I get the timing right with a climb, it's almost like getting a second wind though. To be in the middle of a long climb and to experience your legs not screaming at the places in the climb that they used to scream is a beautiful thing. Good stuff and it really does work!
Beets are supported by science to enhance athletic performance and are the main ingredients in this supplement. Works for me, noticeable difference in strength during prolonged endurance efforts.
I found AltRed really does fight muscle fatigue while doing big hills cycling, I feel stronger and I'm able to push harder with perceivable less burning, my breathing is controlled better at high intensity.
Was skeptical at first. Tried it an hour before a half marathon. The fatigue did not gather in my legs as it normally does. Love it. I was able to achieve a pr!
I haven’t tried it long enough yet to make a review but so far i think its pretty good.. I feel a bit of zip…..
I did a 15 mile sprint on my training bike and was extra hard on the legs and had absolutely no muscle fatigue or weakness, and no signs of lactic accumulation, which is definitely an improvement. Im planning to use it for an upcoming 103 miler and feel confident I can go harder than ever and not worry about lactic buildup ruining my day.
