What we think
Made with over 30% honey, the Honey Stinger Energy Bar is not your ordinary energy bar. Honey is awesome because it’s easy to digest due to having a similar carbohydrate profile to fruit. These bars are basically an energy gel, in a hearty bar form. They are perfect for medium to long events when you need a gel, but your gut is saying, “Please, no more.” They contain just enough protein to sustain you without having a negative effect on the stomach.
These bars also contain whole grains, calcium, antioxidants, and 23 vitamins and minerals. With natural flavors and 82% organic ingredients, these bars are some clean burning energy you can feel good about!
Feed’s Fave: Peanut Butter N' Honey
How We Use It
These bars are great for a healthy snack alternative as well as before, during or after a workout. We like them for long rides, when we can’t eat or don’t want a gel. At around 200 calories and 30 grams of carbohydrate, this is a good size for use during light to medium intensity exercise.

The Honey Stinger Energy Bar was the perfect healthy snack at the end of a tiring three-a-day! Some bars are too sweet to eat right after working out; the HS is just right! I find bars like the RX are small but too dense and chewy to eat the whole bar while I am still coming down from a heavy sweat session. The crunchy moist texture of the HS was perfect. I'm not on a calorie restricted diet, but do need to watch my carb intake. Pros: 1) not too sweet, great taste! 2) pleasant texture 3) perfect portion for post-workout Cons: 1) calories from carbs may be too high for some folks
This is a great snack for dancers between classes.
These bars are a quick healthy snack to fuel my baseball player between games.
The peanut butter and honey ones are like a candy bar, as state previously. I can't resist them sometimes when I'm not even working out. They're delicious. Plus, the company is a really great, which is a bonus. AND I can pronounce and recognize all the ingredients on the back of the bar. Not the most carbs, not the most protein, but it's a good all around training bar....
Honey Stinger Peanut Butter 'N Honey are THE best tasting energy bars out on the market! I use them on 70-80 miles bike rides and they provide enough fuel to power me through my long rides. The taste is awesome...almost like a candybar (think Butterfinger)...and they sit well in my tummy. I wish more stores carried them locally, but to be honest...Amazon was the best price that I found online, for a box of them.
I absolutely love all of the Honey Stinger products I've tried to date. These are incredibly tasty and do not leave any chalky or otherwise aftertaste. The energy from these is palpable, even at the end of a long ride! Great energy bars and great price for quantities.
I used to eat Clif Bars and PowerBars on my long bike rides (about one bar per hour on rides longer than 2 hours). Now I eat Honey Stinger. Honey Stinger is easier for me to chew and digest. Honey Stinger is more expensive than the competition, though. One big problem with the Honey Stinger bars is that they melt into a sticky mess if you put them in your jersey pocket. I need to keep them in my saddle bag to keep them edible, which is a big problem for people who like to pull out a bar and eat without stopping.
This is one of best the energy/protein bars on the market. Always highly rated, but sometimes hard to find---I buy a bunch of them at a time, so I'm always stocked up!
