Clif Bloks were a game changer when they were announced in 2005. At the time, there were very few “energy chews” on the market, and although you could stop by the convenience store for some gummy worms, Bloks upped the game by adding essential electrolytes to their gummies.
The Feed’s Faves: Tropical Punch or Mountain Berry
One serving is three blocks, but we believe in rationing them. During your workout consume 1 block at a time every 10-15 minutes, or 2 at a time every 30 minutes. Eating less than 3 blocks at a time is a more manageable amount to stomach when you’re exercising and won’t overload your gut with sugar nor require too much fluid to digest. On the outside, Clif Nut Butter Filled Bars seem a lot like a classic Clif Bar. As you take your first bite, you'll be quickly surprised that Clif has added delicious nut butters to the center of the bar. These bars are certified USDA organic, non-GMO, low glycemic*, and contain 7 grams of plant based protein.

We've been using Clif Nut Butter Filled Bars as an afternoon snack, or during hikes and low-intensity endurance sports. While you can eat these during exercise, be aware that they will digest more slowly than other foods due to the ingredients and added fat from nut butter. The original Clif Bar was created out of necessity. While out on a 175 mile bike ride, founder Gary Erickson tried to take another bite out of the energy bar he was eating and he couldn’t. He couldn’t bear to take another bite. This is the moment the “epiphany” happened. Gary realized he could make a better energy bar, and he did. The Clif Bar was born.
Nearly 25 years later, the original Clif Bar is still the go-to energy bar for the great outdoors. Clif Shot Gel is the classic energy gel: scientifically formulated to get you quick energy when you need it most. Although you probably aren’t going to want to eat a gel for lunch, they can be an incredibly effective workout food. Gels are a critical part in active workout nutrition. What does that mean? It means, reach for gels when you’re doing higher intensity workouts. Provided that we’re properly hydrated, we like to choose gels that have some caffeine.
We’ve found flavor preferences vary widely. Mocha, Citrus, Razz and Double Espresso are among our favorites. It’s interesting to note that Strawberry and Citrus shots have 25 milligrams of caffeine, Mocha shots have 50 milligrams, and Double Espresso shots have 100 milligrams. We tend to use Strawberry and Citrus most frequently, but when competing, we occasionally reach for the Double Espresso near the end of an event.

Bring this product with you during some of your more difficult workouts. For sessions ranging from medium to high intensity, take this product on get the extra boost you need to get you through. Wash it down with a little water and get ready to crush the rest of your workout.
Clif Builder's Bars are a protein powerhouse. With 20 grams of complete protein from Soy Protein Isolate these bars help you boost your protein metabolism and rebuild muscle fast. With the addition of 23 vitamins and minerals, they are a delicious way to get those extra nutrients you may be lacking. Meal replacement or post-workout. The Builder Bar is a fairly balanced bar in terms of nutrition for athletes. While it does have a lot of protein (20 grams), it also has 31g of carbs, and just 8g of fat. Clif Bar notes on the label that this is a low glycemic bar for "prolonged satiation and energy". What's that mean for you? You need to experiment with bars like this during exercise to know if they'll work for you.
The Clif Mojo Bar is like taking your favorite trail mix and putting it neatly in your pocket. Clif describes the Mojo as a “Sweet and Salty Trail Mix Bar”, and that might be why it’s one of our favorites. The Mojos are far less dense than original Clif Bars, making them generally easier to eat and digest. Most Mojo bars have a higher protein to carb ratio compared to other energy bars, so it’s important to consider these bars long-term energy. They aren’t going to bring you back from a bonk or give you a burst of energy. While you won’t feel the benefits of a Mojo bar immediately, they’ll sustain you over the course of 1.5-2 hours.

We bring this product along with us on our longer outings. After 90 minutes it is important to get some glycogen in that body of your. This product can help you out with that.
