What is CBD?
CBD is a cannabinoid that appears in Marijuana and Hemp. It has many benefits that have that are super beneficial for athletes.
CBD versus THC.
CBD is non-psychoactive and delivers many of the most desired benefits of reducing inflammation, improving recovery, and helping with sleep. THC is the psychoactive part and is usually only in high enough concentrations to get you "high" if it is from Marijuana and not from Hemp.
Does CBD get you high?
No. CBD with less than 0.3% THC will not get you "high".
Is CBD Legal?
Based on the 2019 Farm Bill, CBD Oil (sometimes referred to as Hemp oil) derived from industrial hemp that has less than 0.3% THC contents is legal. As always check with your local state regulations on the legality of CBD in your state.

What are the different kinds of CBD?

CBD Isolate:
Only CBD with no THC or other Cannabinoids -
CBD Full Spectrum:
CBD, THC (up to 0.3%), and the full spectrum of Cannabinoids and Terpenes that are naturally occurring in Hemp. -
CBD Broad Spectrum:
This is the same as CBD Full Spectrum in that it has CBD and all the Cannabinoids, but all of the THC is removed.
If you want the maximum CBD Benefits, then you want to go with Full Spectrum. If you are a tested athlete or tested at work and don't want to take any chances on THC appearing in a test, then you want to choose THC Free products that are CBD Isolate or CBD Broad Spectrum.
Is Hemp Oil the Same as CBD Oil?
While both are from Hemp, they are not the same in practice. Hemp Oil that you can find on Amazon or Walmart most likely has deficient levels of CBD if any at all. CBD Oil is much more potent and contains the levels of CBD you need to get the benefits from it.
How much CBD should I take?
Everyone is different in how much they need for it to be effective. We have found that most people start with 10mg to 20mg of CBD to start, but it also depends on the type of product:

Start at 10mg to 20mg -
CBD Capsules / Pills:
Start at 20mg to 30mg (as some are lost during digestion) -
CBD Lotions:
Anywhere from 10mg to 30mg is a good place to start
We have heard some people discuss using 50mg to even 100mg in capsule form for sleep, but use all CBD products carefully and start with a low dosage.

Walmart and Amazon do not sell CBD Oil products. They do sell Hemp Oil, but that may or may not include any CBD. Most likely the CBD levels in products labeled Hemp Oil are very very low.
