Protein is a big deal for athletes, but choosing a protein powder that works for you can be really difficult. Here at The Feed, we're primarily endurance athletes. How we're using it: as with any protein powder, we prefer mixing with milk (or almond milk if you're dairy free). For some added flavor, we've been adding 2-3 tablespoons of almond butter for a few additional fat calories. As usual we're mixing up our shakes in blender bottles 15-30 minutes after a strength workout. We follow this with a complete meal of real food about 45 minutes later if possible. Flavor: We've been happiest with the chocolate flavor so far, but haven't tried Peach Mango or Natural. SFH Recovery Whey is not our favorite tasting recovery mix, but it is quite good given that it contains zero added sugar. It does have Stevia, so if you've had stevia before and don't care for the taste, this might not be the right recovery protein for you. In general, we think this is a non-issue and are very pleased with the flavor of SFH.
